As the year hurtles towards it’s future in deep space, it’s time for me to look back on 2017. It’s been an incredible year – from being invited to speak on P&O Oceania in January through to Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria in November – the 9 cruises contracts I’ve done this year have all been incredibly exciting (thanks Maria for all the bookings). My audiences this year have excelled themselves. I always say that a reactive audience is SO important and this year, you have all been fantastic. Add to that Conferences (Essex you were truly magnificent – thanks Tony and Nick) and Rotary Club Fundraising evenings (so many of you).
A very special thank you this year goes to the schools I have visited as the WeirdFish Lady. It’s a wonderful experience for me to be alongside such hardworking teachers and I love the effect my talks have on the pupils – they get so excited. My big thanks must also go to my ‘team’ – Andy and Dave who are working hard with me to produce our new Teacher’s Resource ‘Ocean World’. RIchard, for all his hard work on the website and DVD, helpers at exhibitions – thanks Christine and my various roadies – looking after me this year were Jane, Pauline, Verity and Chris – I really couldn’t do what I do without you all. And a really big thank you to all of you reading this message. if you’ve been in an audience this year or worked alongside me – THANK YOU! Have a wonderful Christmas holiday and my best wishes to you all for 2018. See you out there ……
